however, i did put ceramic coating on it before last winter. the coatinf looks good enough for me and no fading after 1 year. i drove the car in canada winter as well. I dont have that exact one but had TR style for my sport hatch for 1.5 year. i dont have it long enough to comment on fading. Overall, it is a great piece for aesthetic and very light weight. but i do sse water strains on valve cover.

I dont live in somewhere that has lots of rain so there isnt much problem. seibon hood has nothing under hood to channel the water to strut tower, there is alo no rain guard that you can install. Subtle line but enough to notice when you look at it closely.įitment is good, but water will get in from the scoop or vent.

so there is a stitch line on the weave where two piece of carbon meet. they dont use a whole sheet of carbon for one hood. I had never seen other carbon hood before so i was happy. the coating looks good enough for me as a first time carbon fiber owner.

Seibon parts, unless stated otherwise, may require re-use of some factory parts for a complete installation (for example, trunks lids for some applications will require re-using the factory license plate garnish). All Seibon products come with a 6-month limited clear coat warranty.Lastly, all of Seibon's carbon sheets are built into the mold, so they do not break and split like the ones where carbon is only wrapped around the skeleton. Clear coats are shiny and durable, and they give you the nice "wet" look as opposed to a duller look from gel coats. In addition to this, all Seibon products (except dry carbon ones) use a strong clear coat finish. Rather, all you will notice is just one big consistent weave pattern. Because Seibon uses one-piece sheets, you will not see any broken lines or patterns. Seibon uses Grade A one-piece carbon fiber sheets with a Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) skeleton for strength and durability (except on dry carbon products, since it is not needed). Seibon carbon fiber exterior parts and accessories will give your Honda Civic a very unique, race-like look. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PRODUCT IS PICKED UP OR SHIPPED FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND TAKES SEVERAL DAYS TO SHIP. Seibon parts that require a left and right (such as fenders, side skirts, doors, etc.), always come with both sides.
